You are welcomed to study in Romania! All of UMF’s across the country offer you the chance to apply for its programme for Medicine and Dentistry.

Every UMF has its own request regarding the documents that you need to submit for the application. In our “List of all U.M.F. from Romania” section you can easily find the website of every UMF in order to check the exact list of documents that you need to provide: documents that need translation, as well as assessments, declarations, personal statements or payment proofs.

However, you can find below a list of documents that for sure need translation in order to apply for the UMFs programme of Medicine and Dentistry:  

• certificates of studies (baccalaureate diploma or an equivalent diploma)
• transcript of records
• letter of recommendation
• if applicable: certificate confirming that you hold an internationally recognized language certificate for the language of study (Cambridge Certificate, TOEFL certificate etc.)
• proof of voluntary activity (humanitarian etc.) and other relevant achievements (arts, sports, etc.)
• birth certificate
• medical tests: HIV and VDRL
• medical record

An authorized translation refers to a translated document certified by an authorized translator, indicating that the translation is legally valid to the same extent as the original document.

A legalized translation indicates that one certain text or document was translated by an authorized translator by the Romanian Ministry of Justice, document which is stamped and signed first by the translator and afterwards the notary public legalizes the translator’s signature and stamp based on a signature specimen in accordance with Art.12, letter “j” of Law no.36/1995 with subsequent amendments and additions.

In order to be able to legalize copies of foreign documents by Romanian notaries prior to legalization, they need to be targeted by a translator authorized by the Ministry of Justice by applying the translator’s signature and stamp. Subsequently copies of these foreign documents can be legalized by public notaries. Lex Logos Romania offers you this service for all the languages ​​shown above.
